About Alissa
Alissa Derboben is a current public relations student at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She is currently minoring in dance appreciation and practice and sport management. Alissa is currently involved in Women in Sports and Events (WISE), a U100 student ambassador, tour guide, and is a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She is also a current intern for Syracuse University’s Athletic Communications Office. Through this internship, Alissa has helped manage Syracuse University’s sports social media accounts and assist public relations officials during games. 
My Story
Alissa currently resides in Columbus, New Jersey, and is a major Jersey girl. She attended Northern Burlington County Regional High School where she was involved in FFA, No Place for Hate, and National Honor Society. She loves spending time with family and friends at the beach and traveling the East Coast. In her free time, she enjoys teaching dance and playing with her two dogs. She is also a major sports fan and obsesses over the Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Eagles. Alissa is also a history buff, and you can often find her watching historical documentaries.
